I’ve been using cannabis for many years to help with insomnia. I used to drink a lot hoping it would help me sleep. It did but the quality of sleep was horrible with almost zero time in REM sleep, which left me even more tired the next day.
Cannabis is the only thing I feel comfortable taking. Prescription sleeping pills are too much and are addictive.
I consider cannabis my medicine.Β The fact that it also helps me de-stress and unwind after a long day is a mental well-being bonus on top.
